Before you fire up the AMR, it pays to slow down for a minute. Take these few simple checks and precautions to ensure the equipment is safe and performing well. Here are the rules every operator should follow before the mower ever makes a move.
Start your day by turning on the AMR and allowing it to warm up. While it’s idling, check your surroundings. Walk the area and clear anything the mower could run into or over. Look for steep slopes, holes, or low obstacles like sewer covers and irrigation heads that could impact the machine’s performance.
Make sure the mowing area is clear of people and pets when running the AMR autonomously. Be mindful that if there is a possibility they may enter the area, or wander into the mowing zone, you may need to ask them to exit or stay further away.
Keep the AMR within sight and always carry the Remote Stop device. The Remote Stop must be paired to a mower and disengaged before mowing autonomously. The Remote Stop button can easily and safely stop all paired mowers at once—instantly. Stopping or pausing the mowers from the app are also possible but the Remote Stop provides a one-button, immediate stop.
The AMR is built to perform in the toughest conditions, even at night and in heavy rain. However, you should follow general mowing best practices—and use common sense—during adverse weather conditions.
Use the same safe mowing habits you’d use with any zero-turn commercial mower. Keep clear of moving parts and the discharge area and never assume the mower will automatically stop for obstacles.
