REAPER™ is RC Mowers' remote-controlled robotic slope mower, formerly known as the R Series, engineered and built in Green Bay, Wisconsin. It climbs 50° slopes in any direction and wades into retention ponds, embankments, roadside ditches, and the kind of muck that swallows wheeled mowers whole. It cuts 10-foot grass, heavy brush, and 2-inch trees. The operator? Standing up to 1,000 feet away, dry, upright, and frankly a little bored. Bolt on the accessories, and REAPER clocks in all year.
Your crews are hanging off slopes with string trimmers and riding zero-turns where zero-turns have no business being. That's not a strategy. That's a workers' comp claim waiting for a date. REAPER puts the operator on a remote, not on the slope, and lets the machine take the beating.
“After our first 1,000 hours, we had a 92% savings in labor—and we were just getting started.”
Daniel S., Landscapes USA, KY
“We calculated that if we were to outsource it, it would pay for itself in about 15 days.”
Trevor Broersma, Cordillera Metro District
REAPER runs from up to 1,000 feet away, so the operator stays off the slope and out of the line of fire. That's twice the distance of most competing mowers. Its 900 MHz low-interference FHSS radio cuts through the noise that chokes machines on the crowded 2.4 GHz band. The single joystick, one-hand remote runs 20 hours per charge, controls accessories, and kills the mower on tilt, drop, or signal loss.

Heavy-duty rubber tracks, a low center of gravity, and oil flow engineered to stay consistent at full incline let the REAPER handle slopes up to 50° without a winch. Terrain that stops ride-ons and endangers crews becomes a standard job.
REAPER climbs and mows 50° slopes in any direction. Up, down, sideways. It doesn't care. Heavy-duty, excavator-style, rubber tracks spread the load to just 2.4 psi on the REAPER 60 and 2.3 psi on the REAPER 52, so it walks across wet, soft, and muddy ground without trashing the turf. Nobody rides it, so nobody rolls it.
A Vanguard® Big Block™ EFI engine (40 hp on the REAPER 60, 37 hp on the REAPER 52) with Oil Guard goes 500 hours between oil changes and drinks from a 12-gallon tank. Dual Hydro-Gear® ZT-4400 drive-by-wire commercial transmissions and a commercial dual-filter air cleaner eat brush for a living. The deck is twin-plate-fabricated 7-gauge steel with a 3-spindle counter-rotating blade system. Bring your worst.
REAPER accessories add spraying, soil work, snow removal, fire mitigation, and jobsite support to the same machine, all run from the same remote. Options include an integrated 4,500-lb winch, a low-profile solar farm configuration, high-traction DeathGrip™ Tracks, flat-cut heavy-brush blades, and a 2-inch high-clearance lift kit. One machine. Zero excuses to park it.
The REAPER 60 mows up to 3 acres an hour (REAPER 52: up to 2.5) at 4 mph, transports at 5 mph, and runs up to 8 hours. It cuts 10-foot grass, heavy brush, and 2-inch trees without breaking a sweat. Crews are productive immediately.
REAPER 60 and REAPER 52, formerly the R-60 and R-52, are commercial-grade, remote-controlled robotic mowers for public agencies, landscape contractors, and large-scale property managers. Same 50° slope capability. Same 1,000-ft remote. Same 7-gauge deck. Pick your width and get to work. Not built for residential or small-scale use. Your backyard isn't ready.
Best for: Higher-volume operations, large commercial accounts, DOT right-of-way, and anywhere where "acres per hour" decide who wins the bid.
Maximum productivity for big properties and high-volume vegetation management. Mows up to 3 acres an hour and cuts 10-foot grass, heavy brush, and 2-inch trees at just 2.4 psi.
Best for: Contractors adding slope work, tighter job sites, narrower access, and smaller trailers. 74 in wide vs. 82 in on the REAPER 60.
The same 50° slope and 1,000-ft remote on a narrower 52-inch platform. Mows up to 2.5 acres an hour, cuts 10-foot grass, heavy brush, and 2-inch trees, and treads even lighter at 2.3 psi. Smaller footprint. Same attitude.
One machine
REAPER accessories turn a remote-controlled slope mower into a year-round workhorse. Mow, spray, cultivate, clear, carry, plow, and salt on the same nasty ground REAPER already owns, with the operator on the remote and out of harm's way. Other slope mowers hibernate in October. Put your REAPER to work all year long.

Más informaciónREAPER works where conventional mowers can't safely go and hand crews are slow, costly, and exposed. If it's steep, wet, or overgrown, it's REAPER work. If it scares your crew, it's REAPER's favorite kind of work.
We build mowers. We’re not subtle about it. Most manufacturers ship you a machine, a manual, and a “good luck.” That’s not how we do business. REAPER is sold and serviced through a nationwide network of authorized dealers who know the machine, backed by the Green Bay team that built it.
Need a part? Call Green Bay, not a time zone. Most parts ship within 72 hours, fulfilled domestically by the team that built the machine. Every REAPER 60 and REAPER 52 is covered for 2 years or 400 hours.
Designed, engineered, and manufactured in Wisconsin, USA. The only major manufacturer in this category that can say it, and back it up with real-person customer support. We’re not the biggest. We’re the one they’re watching.
From your first demo to your thousandth hour, RC Mowers and our nationwide network of authorized dealers keep your REAPER working. Training, parts, service, and straight answers come from people who know the machine, not a call center.
The best way to judge a remote-controlled mower is to throw it at your worst slope. Schedule an on-site demo, and a certified RC Mowers dealer or one of our Regional Sales Managers will contact you within one business day. You run REAPER on your terrain, and we’ll show you the accessories that keep it earning all year. No pressure. No commitment. Prove us wrong.
REAPER is designed, manufactured, and priced for commercial and large-scale applications with starting costs for used machines at $40,000.
REAPER is an industry-leading remote-controlled, robotic slope mower engineered and built near Green Bay, Wisconsin. The REAPER 60 and REAPER 52 mow 50° slopes, ditches, ponds, and embankments. Both cut 10-foot grass, heavy brush, and 2-inch trees while the operator stands up to 1,000 feet away. Think of it as the crew member who never calls in sick.
Yes. REAPER is the new name for the R Series. The REAPER 60 was formerly the R-60, and the REAPER 52 was formerly the R-52. Same machine. Meaner name.
REAPER mows slopes up to 50° in any direction. Excavator-style rubber tracks keep ground pressure at 2.4 psi (REAPER 60) or 2.3 psi (REAPER 52), and the operator stays off the slope on the remote, which takes rollover risk off the crew. The machine gets the slope. Your people get flat ground.
Up to 1,000 feet, more than three football fields away. REAPER’s remote uses a 900 MHz low-interference FHSS radio, runs 20 hours per charge, and shuts the mower down if it tilts, drops, or loses signal.
The REAPER 60 has a 60-inch cutting width and a 40-hp Vanguard Big Block EFI engine, and mows up to 3 acres per hour. The REAPER 52 has a 52-inch cutting width and a 37-hp engine on a narrower 74-inch frame, and mows up to 2.5 acres per hour. Both handle 50° slopes in any direction and cut 2-inch trees.
The REAPER 60 mows up to 3 acres per hour and the REAPER 52 up to 2.5 acres per hour at a 4 mph mowing speed. Both run up to 8 hours on a 12-gallon tank. No breaks. No overtime.
REAPER accessories include the Broadcast Sprayer, 3-Point Hitch, Soil Cultivator, Snow Plow, Salt Spreader, Tool Rack, Chainsaw Mount, Can Carrier Mount, Secondary Fire Extinguisher Mount, Winch Kit, and LED Light Kit. Contact an RC Mowers regional sales manager or authorized dealer for availability and pricing.
Yes. With accessories, REAPER mows in summer, sprays and cultivates in spring and fall, and plows and salts in winter. One machine. More ways to work. Zero reasons to park it.
The REAPER 60 and REAPER 52 both carry a 2-year or 400-hour warranty, backed by 72-hour shipping on most parts.
The REAPER 60 has a dry weight of 1,968 lbs and the REAPER 52 weighs 1,897 lbs; fuel and fluids add up to 100 lbs. Both are 84.7 in long and 49.8 in high, with the REAPER 60 at 82 in wide and the REAPER 52 at 74 in wide. Tracks spread that weight to 2.3–2.4 psi of ground pressure. Heavy machine. Light footprint.
Operators report up to 92% labor savings, and one metro district calculated payback in about 15 days compared with outsourcing.
