OTHER MACHINES QUIT. REAPER™ KEEPS GOING.

REMOTE-CONTROLLED SLOPE MOWER

REAPER™ is RC Mowers' remote-controlled robotic slope mower, formerly known as the R Series, engineered and built in Green Bay, Wisconsin. It climbs 50° slopes in any direction and wades into retention ponds, embankments, roadside ditches, and the kind of muck that swallows wheeled mowers whole. It cuts 10-foot grass, heavy brush, and 2-inch trees. The operator? Standing up to 1,000 feet away, dry, upright, and frankly a little bored. Bolt on the accessories, and REAPER clocks in all year.

Dangerous terraindoesn’t mean
dangerous
work

Your crews are hanging off slopes with string trimmers and riding zero-turns where zero-turns have no business being. That's not a strategy. That's a workers' comp claim waiting for a date. REAPER puts the operator on a remote, not on the slope, and lets the machine take the beating.

WHAT
YOU'RE
UP
AGAINST

PENTES RUDES

  • Too steep for ride-ons; way too steep for zero-turns
  • Hand trimming: slow, expensive, and soul-crushing
  • One rollover is one too many
  • Bids you skip because nobody will touch that hill

PÉNURIES DE MAIN-D'ŒUVRE

  • Good operators are hard to find and harder to keep
  • Nobody’s lining up for the dangerous jobs
  • Crew-heavy work eats your margin for breakfast
  • Slips, sprains, and blown ankles bench your best people

IDLE EQUIPMENT

  • Specialty mowers collect dust the second the grass quits
  • Spraying, snow, and site prep each want their own machine
  • Single-purpose iron pays itself back at a crawl
  • The high-margin work stays just out of reach

TAKE ON THE TERRAIN WITHOUT TAKING ON THE RISK

  • Keep your crew off the hazard, up to 1,000 feet away
  • Take the slope, ditch, and pond work your competitors are scared of
  • Bid high-margin contracts, with operators reporting hourly rates of $400+
  • Cover up to 3 acres an hour without hiring a soul
  • Turn one machine into year-round revenue: mow, spray, cultivate, clear, carry, plow, and salt

Les missions difficiles sont celles que nous réussissons le mieux

Don't take our word for it. Take theirs. Here's what REAPER operators (R Series owners) report from real commercial work.
92 %réduction de la main-d'œuvre déclarée
« Après nos 1 000 premières heures, nous avions réalisé une économie de 92 % sur la main-d'œuvre… et nous n'en étions qu'au début. »

Daniel S., Landscapes USA, Kentucky

100%ROI in 15 days of operation
« Nous avons calculé que si nous externalisions cette activité, l'investissement serait rentabilisé en environ 15 jours. »

Trevor Broersma, district métropolitain de Cordillera

1,000 ft remote range

REAPER runs from up to 1,000 feet away, so the operator stays off the slope and out of the line of fire. That's twice the distance of most competing mowers. Its 900 MHz low-interference FHSS radio cuts through the noise that chokes machines on the crowded 2.4 GHz band. The single joystick, one-hand remote runs 20 hours per charge, controls accessories, and kills the mower on tilt, drop, or signal loss.

WHERE REAPER THRIVES

REAPER works where conventional mowers can't safely go and hand crews are slow, costly, and exposed. If it's steep, wet, or overgrown, it's REAPER work. If it scares your crew, it's REAPER's favorite kind of work.

WHERE REAPER THRIVES
  • Highway roadsides, medians, and roadside ditches
  • Retention and detention ponds
  • Ditches, canals, and drainage channels
  • Embankments and steep hillsides
  • Wet, soft, and muddy ground
  • Heavy brush and overgrowth
  • Fire mitigation and fuel breaks, with Can Carrier and secondary extinguisher mounts
  • Solar farms and utility sites, with a low-profile solar configuration available
  • Airports and transportation corridors
  • Municipalities and public works, including sidewalk snow removal with the Snow Plow

Fabriqué et soutenu aux États-Unis

We build mowers. We’re not subtle about it. Most manufacturers ship you a machine, a manual, and a “good luck.” That’s not how we do business. REAPER is sold and serviced through a nationwide network of authorized dealers who know the machine, backed by the Green Bay team that built it.

72 hours parts

Expédition des pièces dans les 72 heures

Need a part? Call Green Bay, not a time zone. Most parts ship within 72 hours, fulfilled domestically by the team that built the machine. Every REAPER 60 and REAPER 52 is covered for 2 years or 400 hours.

REAPER Remote-Controlled Mower FAQs

What is REAPER?

REAPER is an industry-leading remote-controlled, robotic slope mower engineered and built near Green Bay, Wisconsin. The REAPER 60 and REAPER 52 mow 50° slopes, ditches, ponds, and embankments. Both cut 10-foot grass, heavy brush, and 2-inch trees while the operator stands up to 1,000 feet away. Think of it as the crew member who never calls in sick.

Is REAPER the same as the RC Mowers R Series?

Yes. REAPER is the new name for the R Series. The REAPER 60 was formerly the R-60, and the REAPER 52 was formerly the R-52. Same machine. Meaner name.

How steep a slope can a remote-controlled mower handle?

REAPER mows slopes up to 50° in any direction. Excavator-style rubber tracks keep ground pressure at 2.4 psi (REAPER 60) or 2.3 psi (REAPER 52), and the operator stays off the slope on the remote, which takes rollover risk off the crew. The machine gets the slope. Your people get flat ground.

How far away can the operator be?

Up to 1,000 feet, more than three football fields away. REAPER’s remote uses a 900 MHz low-interference FHSS radio, runs 20 hours per charge, and shuts the mower down if it tilts, drops, or loses signal.

What’s the difference between the REAPER 60 and REAPER 52?

The REAPER 60 has a 60-inch cutting width and a 40-hp Vanguard Big Block EFI engine, and mows up to 3 acres per hour. The REAPER 52 has a 52-inch cutting width and a 37-hp engine on a narrower 74-inch frame, and mows up to 2.5 acres per hour. Both handle 50° slopes in any direction and cut 2-inch trees.

How many acres per hour does REAPER mow?

The REAPER 60 mows up to 3 acres per hour and the REAPER 52 up to 2.5 acres per hour at a 4 mph mowing speed. Both run up to 8 hours on a 12-gallon tank. No breaks. No overtime.

What accessories are available for REAPER?

REAPER accessories include the Broadcast Sprayer, 3-Point Hitch, Soil Cultivator, Snow Plow, Salt Spreader, Tool Rack, Chainsaw Mount, Can Carrier Mount, Secondary Fire Extinguisher Mount, Winch Kit, and LED Light Kit. Contact an RC Mowers regional sales manager or authorized dealer for availability and pricing.

Can REAPER be used year-round?

Yes. With accessories, REAPER mows in summer, sprays and cultivates in spring and fall, and plows and salts in winter. One machine. More ways to work. Zero reasons to park it.

What is the REAPER warranty?

The REAPER 60 and REAPER 52 both carry a 2-year or 400-hour warranty, backed by 72-hour shipping on most parts.

How much does the REAPER 60 weigh?

The REAPER 60 has a dry weight of 1,968 lbs and the REAPER 52 weighs 1,897 lbs; fuel and fluids add up to 100 lbs. Both are 84.7 in long and 49.8 in high, with the REAPER 60 at 82 in wide and the REAPER 52 at 74 in wide. Tracks spread that weight to 2.3–2.4 psi of ground pressure. Heavy machine. Light footprint.

What ROI do operators report?

Operators report up to 92% labor savings, and one metro district calculated payback in about 15 days compared with outsourcing.

Where is REAPER made, and how do I buy one?

REAPER is engineered and built near Green Bay, Wisconsin, and sold through RC Mowers’ authorized dealer network. Public agencies can buy through Sourcewell awarded contract #112624-EMB.
